            But what if we have a super powerful and incredible chicken? Like other human being their bodies were designed to make unusual things. For example, they have a capability to  break a hard objects like steels, hollow blocks by just using their hands. Or they knew how to eat sword and crystal. Of course, we really admired their unique talent because not all people around the world can do that.

The chicken is very strong he knew how to pull a cart with a passenger. As this moment that I’m writing this article, the video has gained more than 6 million views and thousands of likes and shares. The netizens were really amazed for what they have watched.

Enzo Altavas Viper Versus Adza Victor (World Slasher Cup 2015 2nd Edition the Final Battle)

Joey Sy and his partner Atty. Benny Salazar won in the World Slasher Cup 2015 Second edition championship which held at the Araneta Coliseum on May 18. This event is one of the most prestigious derby in the Philippines. They used Enzo Alatavas Viper as their entry name and two of entries had been entered in finals.  According to a report, the partners used Butcher Roundheads on their fights.

This is the first time that Joey Sy won in the World Slasher Cup. Now, his name will be included in the long list of the WSC champions. But no question, Joey Sy is already popular in the Philippine cockfighting scene. Aside from being a BAKBAKAN champion, he is also an officer of National Federation of Gamefowl Breeders Inc, (NFGB) and the acting president of Rizal Gamefowl Breeders Association (RGBA). Of course, he is a host of Bakbakan, a weekly sabong TV show which airs in IBC. So, again we should congratulate him and his partner!

Joey Sy and Atty. Benny Salazar the World Slasher Cup 2015 2nd Edition Champion

Finally, the second edition  of World Slasher Cup has been finished and like in previous years, this big event gave thrill and excitement for those game fowl afficionados who watched it. And now, there is only one entry became a champion and that is the partnership of Bakbakan TV Show host Joey Sy with Atty. Benny Salazar. They got a perfect score. Based on a report, their two entries were entered in finals.

So, we must congratulate Joey Sy and Atty. Salazar for being a new World Slasher Cup champion. Here s the video of there fight in final round which they fought the entry of Adza Victor. A Different Game Fowl Training

Conditioning of our game fowl chicken is one of the crucial moments before we send it at the cockpit arena. Of course, some of us have different style with our conditioning method. We make sure that we are giving the proper treatments and vitamin to our chicken before the day of the fight. We don't also give them too much food and drink to empty their body system. Hence, they will become more aggresive with its opponent.

In this video, we will see a cocker who has a unique style on how he condition his  chicken. . No, he is not using a dummy sparring mate for his chicken. What he did was he made an equipment and he hang the other chicken which serves as sparring mate of his chicken. But the feathered warrior can't fight with each other. They are just turning rounds in circle. This is just a tactic to boost the energy and aggressiveness of the chicken which undergoes in his conditioning or training method.

Silent Derby for Game Fowl Enthusiasts

 
            Cockfighting is already a passion all over the world and we can consider it also as an addiction because we can’t resist ourselves to be involved in this sport. But of course, this is a positive kind of addiction; aside from it gives livelihood to many people, it also booster our health. Because of the addiction of some people in game fowl derby, they were invented a different way how to express it.

            As what we have knew, the audiences in a game fowl derby are very noisy inside of a cockpit. This is just natural, due to their excitement and the joy that they feel every time their chicken is fighting on the cockpit arena. But the truth is, not all derbies are noisy, in this video that went viral on social media, the battle between two quails is very different because the audiences are very silent. You can’t hear any noise from them; it seems that they are inside of a library. At first look, you will assume that they are chicks. I’m not sure if they are already built an arena for these little creatures. One thing for sure, this kind of derby is really cool. Kudos to those people who invented this, at least we have an alternative option if we want to experience a unique derby like this one.

Re-legalize Cockfighting in America?

          Cockfighting in America is already prohibited. Their government declared it as illegal through the conspiracy and lobbying of the animal right activist groups like PETA, PAWS, etc. For they believed that this sport is an animal cruelty; so, it must be abolished. They are not contented that they did it in America; they want to extend their influence to other countries. We can’t deny that their presence is also here in the Philippines. Once, there was an animal rights activist group rallied on the front of Smart the Smart Araneta Coliseum to condemn World Slasher Cup, one of the biggest derbies in the world.

            Before the cockfighting banned in US, it was already there for how many centuries. As a matter of fact, some of their presidents used to be a cocker and one them is Abraham Lincoln. According to his famous quote, “As long as the Almighty permitted men, created in his image and likeness, to fight and kill each other while the world looks on approvingly, it’s not for me to deprive the chickens of the same privilege”. It only means that this is the nature of the battle cocks. They were born to fight and to kill each other.

         When the US government banned cockfighting , not only the American became saddened, but also the international community of cockfighters. For them, it was hard to believe that it happened. Like other counties,cockfhting was already a part of their culture. But despite of that, they are very thankful because they can still breed gamefowl chickens. That’s why we can still import chickens from them.

             The sad thing is we heard some reports that the authorities in US are harassing the breeders. They are raiding a farm and confiscating their chickens. The representative of animal right activist group is acting like a police. After the raid, they cull only the chickens. So, who is the practicing cruelty to animals? To avoid this scenario, the gamefowl breeders there are suggesting that why the governments don’t regulate the gamefowl industry like what they are doing in the poultry industry? By doing this no one could abuse this. Then, their government could collect tax and they can create many jobs. Like we have here in the Philippines, the gamefowl industry is a billion-peso industry.

            The good thing about American breeders they are still fighting their rights. They are appealing to their lawmakers that they should legalize again cockfighting. They really miss it, like in the old glory days where they can enjoy cockfighting. They don’t need to go to other countries just to join in derbies. Well, good luck to their endeavors!
